About the Role:Grade Level (for internal use):13About the Role:The Team:The Software Application Architect Content Platforms & Platform Services will play a pivotal role in our strategic transformation from product to platform-centric cloud software engineering. These efforts are occurring within the broader context of major strategic initiatives to extend our market leadership and build next-generation software platforms as we pivot to a platform company.Responsibilities and Impact:As Director of Architecture you will work closely with Content Platforms Platform Services Product Management Business Stakeholders and Technology teams on the core of the SPGlobal technologies.Lead architectural design and implementation of next-generation cloud-based content platforms including Content Creation Newsletter platforms Real-time news platforms and Price Reporting systems as part of S&PGlobalsstrategic transformation to a platform-centric companyPartner with Technology Product Management and Business Stakeholders toanalyzebusiness strategy and translate requirements into scalable serverless cloud architectures using AWS servicesDesign and build application and technology architecture concepts creating comprehensive architecture artifacts whileestablishingproject scope estimates and deliverabletimeframesfor business case developmentDrive modernization of existing platforms through architectural improvements integration solutions and optimization of object-oriented software engineering methodologiesLead cross-functional technical activities involving database networking development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration across authentication content creation archiving publishing and delivery systemsChampion enterprise reference architectures and development standards mentoring teams on best practices while balancing business priorities with technical requirements in a fast-paced innovative environmentCompensation/Benefits Information:(This section is only applicable to US candidates)S&P Globalstatesthat theanticipatedbase salary range for this position is $140000 to $185000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individuals geographic location as well as experience level skill set traininglicensesand certifications.In addition to base compensation this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.This role is not eligible foradditionalcompensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.This role is eligible to receiveadditionalS&P Global benefits. For more information on thebenefitswe provide to our employees please clickhere.WhatWereLookingFor:Basic Required Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related technical field or equivalent professional experience in software architecture and development12 years of overall software development experience with at least 3 years in high-level architecture design and implementationExpert-levelproficiencyin a Java based or open-source ecosystem with strong experience in building enterprise-scale applications and microservices architecturesProven experience designing and implementing cloud-native architectures using AWS services such as Lambda EC2 S3 RDS API Gateway and CloudFormationStrong background in database technologies including both relational and NoSQL database solutions for enterprise applicationsExperience with containerization and orchestration technologies along with CI/CD platforms for automated deployment and integrationExperience with big data processing frameworks and distributed computing technologies for handling large-scale data workloadsDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product management business stakeholders and development teams in an Agile environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to architect scalable solutions that meet both current and future business requirementsAdditional Preferred Qualifications:Masters degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related technical fieldExperience with advanced AWS services such as EKS ECS Step Functions or serverless architectures for complex enterprise solutionsBackground in financial services capital marketscommoditymarketsor regulatory technology with an understanding of industry-specific requirements and compliance standardsExperience leading technical teams or mentoring senior developers in architecture best practices and design patternsWhats In It For YouOur Mission: Advancing Essential Intelligence.Our People:Were more than 35000 strong worldwideso were able to understand nuances while having a broad perspective.
