Position Description Position Title: Director of DevelopmentDepartment: Research and Development (R&D)Location: Alpharetta GAReports to: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)Supervisory Responsibilities:The Director of Development leads and mentors multiple cross-functional development teams.Job Scope and Accountabilities: The Director of Development serves as the operational leader of Kahuas software development organization. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day execution of development operations ensuring that strategic roadmaps are delivered with excellence. This role partners closely with the CTO (who sets the architectural and technical direction) and drives execution across multiple initiatives including kAutomate kConnect the Kahua Network AI-enabled features and platform support for applications.Key Responsibilities:Execution & DeliveryOwn the execution of the development roadmap ensuring milestones are met on time within scope and at high quality.Translate architectural direction and product strategy into operational development plans and deliverables.Operational LeadershipProvide direction and oversight across all aspects of development operations including staffing resourcing prioritization and process improvement.Build and optimize engineering workflows CI/CD pipelines testing practices and release management.Ensure scalability reliability performance and security across platforms and applications.Team Leadership & CultureLead mentor and scale high-performing development teams across multiple product lines.Foster a culture of accountability ownership and collaboration aligned with Kahuas core values.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Product and Customer Success teams to align execution with customer and business priorities.Support the CTOs architectural direction and ensure development teams are enabled to deliver against it.Strategic ImpactServe as the voice of Development Operations in executive discussions providing visibility into execution status risks and trade-offs.Drive continuous improvement in development operations to support Kahuas growth and innovation goals.QualificationsTechnical & Operational Expertise:7 years in software development leadership with proven success driving execution in high-growth SaaS environments.Strong experience with Microsoft technologies (C# .NET XAML MSSQL REST APIs) and cloud-native architectures.Strong background in operational excellence process scaling and delivery of complex enterprise solutions.Leadership & Business Acumen:5 years of leadership experience managing large cross-functional development teams.Demonstrated ability to function as an operational leader within a technology organization.Skilled at balancing speed quality and long-term scalability.Education & Professional BackgroundBachelors degree in computer science Engineering or related field (required).Interpersonal & Cultural FitStrong communicator and collaborator who can engage executives engineers and customers alike.Pragmatic decisive leader with a customer-first mindset.Ability to handle changing requirements and shifting prioritiesHands-on leader who supports innovation and continuous improvementHigh standards of integrity quality and accountabilityAligned with Kahuas Core Values: Teamwork Customer Focus Continuous Improvement Performance and Work-Life Balance.At Kahua we value a diverse inclusive workforce and we provide equal employment opportunities for all applicants and employees.
