Your work will be instrumental in improving patients lives while working at Pfizer collaborating with Pfizers nationwide Centers for Therapeutic Innovation (CTI) within the broader External Science & Innovation group to deliver a comprehensive and deep pipeline of drug candidates based on emerging science in the academic world.What You Will Achieve:In this role you will:Lead strategic direction business performance and financial management for complex activities within a Division or Global Business UnitManage people technology and financial resources including those outside of direct authority within a Division or Global Business UnitShare knowledge across the Global Business Unit and establish systems for knowledge sharingFoster continuous improvement and innovation in daily operations encouraging acceptable risk-takingDevelop solutions to complex problems and hold accountability for decisions within the Division or Global Business UnitContribute to strategy development and execution and manage talent and leadership development including succession planningHold senior managers accountable for skill development and diversity and lead resources to deliver on prioritiesSet objectives and manage multiple high-complexity projects leading scientists and reviewing experimental designs and dataOversee planning goal setting and prioritization of novel drug programs guiding experimentation in alignment with business unit strategyAct as a primary scientific liaison with external partners manage the vaccine/therapies group and serve as a thought leader and spokesperson for Pfizer researchBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors with at least 8 years of experienceExcellent communication interpersonal and collaboration skillsDemonstrated ability to manage a team of scientists and promote individual career developmentAbility to independently design plan execute and interpret experimentsTechnical knowledge and hands-on experience with molecular biology protein biochemistry and protein engineeringPeople Management Experience.Proven track record of leading complex projects and delivering resultsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Masters degree (MA/MS/MBA) with over 7 years of experienceDemonstrated ability to perform complex data analysisExperience in managing external partnerships and collaborationsAbility to influence and drive change across the organizationExcellent organizational and project management skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environmentCommitment to continuous learning and professional developmentPHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to perform complex data analysisAbility to focus on a topic for extended periods of timeNON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:Overtime as required by business necessityTravel up to 10%ADDITIONAL DETAILS:Work Location Assignment:On PremiseLast date to apply is: December 1 2025The annual base salary for this position ranges from $169700.00 to $282900.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
