We provide:Comprehensive health benefits that start day 1Student Loan Repayment Assistance & Reimbursement ProgramsFamily-focused benefits Wellness incentivesOngoing mentorship development and leadership programs And moreWork Location: Atlanta GADescriptionThe Director of Hospital / Physician Division (PD) Budgets is a financial leader responsible for providing oversight to the development implementation and management of budgeting processes for the Emory Healthcare Hospitals or Physician Division.This role is important in ensuring financial stability and efficiency by providing operating budget guidance for the Hospitals or Physician Division and supporting the long-term financial goals of Emory Healthcare.Provide oversight to the annual operating budgeting process for the Directors respective divisions (hospitals or PD) including the preparation of detailed operating budgets and supporting schedulesCoordinate with Emory Healthcare Finance Leadership as well as Hospital or Physician Division CFOs and unit specific DFOs to ensure that operating budgets align with system level strategic goals and unit specific goals and operational needsMonitor and analyze budget performance and identify variances to assist in corrective action decision makingUtilize decision support system and tools to assist in projecting revenues and expenses and financial performance of the HospitalsWork closely with Emory Healthcare Finance leadership and Hospital Division CFOs and unit specific DFOs to understand financial needs and constraintsProvide financial insights to support decision-makingManage and mentor a team of Hospital focused analysts to help support this functionAssist in providing training and guidance on budgeting processes and best practicesContinuously assess and enhance budgeting processes to improve accuracy efficiency and effectivenessMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or related field requiredMasters degree or professional certification (e.g. CPA MBA) preferredMinimum of 7 years of experience in financial management including 3 years in a budgeting or financial planning role within a hospital or healthcare settingSkills:Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial dataIn-depth knowledge of healthcare finance regulations revenue cycle and cost structuresProficient in healthcare specific financial software and decision support systems (e.g. EPSI Strata EPIC Peoplesoft)Strong team management capabilitiesDetail-oriented and highly organizedAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesJOIN OUR TEAM TODAY!
