E-commerce Creative Director

We're looking for an E-commerce Creative Director to lead our client's creative strategy, oversee design execution, and connect imagery decisions directly to measurable performance outcomes. This role combines creative direction, client strategy, and hands-on design. You'll lead a small team of designers, collaborate with copywriters, and work cross-functionally with our advertising and operations teams to test, refine, and optimize imagery that improves CTR, CVR, and sales lift across client accounts. You'll also manage client relationships for creative-only projects, presenting research, guiding visual strategy, and ensuring every image tells a story that converts. You'll own creative testing frameworks, image sequencing strategy, and A/B test roadmaps that tie directly to our clients' business goals.
Lead Creative Strategy: Own the vision for product imagery and creative optimization across Amazon and other marketplaces. Develop sequencing frameworks that prioritize click-through rate (CTR) and conversion rate (CVR) improvement.
Client Collaboration & Presentation: Serve as the primary creative contact for client-facing projects. Lead onboarding meetings, strategy presentations, and design reviews. Translate data and insights into visually impactful recommendations.
Design Execution: Produce high-impact visuals personally while overseeing the work of one to two designers. Guide them in creating product imagery, A+ content, brand stores, and advertising visuals that align with strategy.
Data-Driven Optimization: Use performance data and Voice of Customer feedback to continually improve imagery. Build and manage testing plans that link design decisions to measurable outcomes.
A/B Testing Leadership: Plan, execute, and analyze A/B image tests to identify what drives engagement and conversion. Collaborate with the advertising and operations teams on cross-functional testing initiatives.
Creative Documentation: Develop and maintain creative strategy documents, including image sequencing plans, testing roadmaps, and creative audits for client brands.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing and Seller Operations Managers to align creative decisions with ad strategy, keyword focus, and product positioning. Coordinate ad hoc during product launches and monthly optimization cycles.
Quality & Process Leadership: Establish design standards, creative SOPs, and feedback loops for consistent quality and efficient workflows.
