The Director supervises and carries out a program of group presentations and intensive individual counseling that extends throughout all phases of the college search process. The Director reports to the Head of Secondary School.The school will enroll a small group of students in Grade 11 for the first time in August 2026 expanding to Grade 12 in August 2027. ISTs first graduating class will graduate in May 2028.There may be a small teaching commitment required of this position. Candidates should state potential teaching subject areas in their application.Qualifications and Personal Attributes Successful candidates will demonstrate most of the following qualifications and attributes: Masters degree in education counseling or educational leadership preferred. Deep knowledge of U.S. U.K. Canadian and other international university admissions processes. Exceptional communication interpersonal and relationship-building skills with students parents faculty and university partners. Cultural competence and experience working within diverse multicultural environments. Record of success in guiding students to competitive universities while centering fit and purpose in the counseling process. Strong professional network within the global admissions community. Proficiency with college counseling technologies (Naviance CommonApp UCAS etc.). Experience using Veracross is an advantage. Exceptional writing and public speaking skills.
