When assets perform at their best everything around them performs better too.We are looking for a Director of Data and as our Director of Data you will operate as a Player/Coach leading the strategy standards and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for our core data infrastructure. This includes ownership of our PostgreSQL operational databases and Snowflake warehouse across critical areas like schema/migrations performance availability security and cost optimization.A key part of your role will be overseeing the organizations Database Administrator (DBA) function and collaborating closely with Engineering to optimize query execution and enhance the developer experience.You will drive the end-to-end data roadmap covering everything from:Developing in-product analytics (dashboards benchmarks reporting).Managing the pipelines models and governance that fuel GTM (Go-to-Market) Finance and executive decision-making.When necessary you will be hands-on to scale our modern data stack within our event-driven AWS environment and focus on embedding data-driven insights into technician dispatcher and manager workflows to directly improve field outcomes.What the Director of Data will OwnCustomer-Facing Data & Product AnalyticsSet the vision and roadmap for embedded analyticsdashboards benchmarks and in-product reporting.Collaborate with Product and Engineering to integrate insights directly into technician and back office workflows.Deliver analytics that measurably improve field operations (e.g. higher first-time fix faster cycle times better asset uptime) and demonstrate impact with clear product and customer outcomes.Data-Driven Business EnablementBuild and scale pipelines and models that power GTM Finance and executive decision-making.Translate business questions into clear reliable datasets and metrics.Prioritize insights that drive growth efficiency and customer value.ResponsibilitiesOwn the data roadmap end-to-end: internal analytics and external/embedded reporting.Design and scale modern data infrastructure (warehouse pipelines modeling governance).Champion data quality security lineage and reliability with measurable SLAs.Balance long-term architecture with quick iterative wins to build trust.Lead a high-performing team of data engineers and a database administrator; set goals coach and develop talent.Establish async-friendly communication rituals (clear written updates docs and readouts).Partner across Product Sales Marketing CS and Finance to embed data into everyday decisions.Partner with Engineering to ensure that the applications are set up well from a data model and query perspective that the database performs well and that the developer experience is easy.Guide programs in experimentation segmentation forecasting predictive modeling and responsible AI.What Makes This Role ImpactfulOperates alongside PostgreSQL operational databases and a Snowflake analytics warehouse.Integrates with an event-driven architecture (e.g. AWS Lambda Kinesis SNS/SQS) supporting high-throughput data flows.Collaborates with a DBA function to enforce schema and SQL standards review data-impacting PRs and maintain migration discipline.Serves a multi-tenant B2B SaaS environment with strong needs for performance cost control and data governance across environments (dev/stage/prod).What Were Looking For5 years leading data teams in B2B SaaS (ideally product-led) with demonstrated impact.Proven experience shipping customer-facing analytics within a SaaS product.Strong prioritization and product sense - able to make trade-offs and explain the why behind decisions.Excellent written communication; comfortable driving clarity in distributed async collaboration.Collaborates well with Product and Engineering to accelerate product delivery.Deep fluency with modern data stacks: Snowflake (or equivalent warehouse) dbt Python and BI (Domo/Looker/Tableau/Power BI); AWS experience.Executive influence: align strategy secure resources and motivate ICs across functions.BonusEmbedded analytics and data monetization experience.Leverage AI/LLM tools to improve data platform reliability and developer experience (plan-based tuning standards/doc automation and SQL coaching)Multi-tenant data modeling cost governance and performance optimization at scale.XOi BenefitsXOi offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical dental and health with eligibility the 1st of the next month following your date of hireXOi offers a 401(k) with eligibility at 90 daysXOi offers Discretionary Time OffAll new employees receive a one time $500 New Hire Stipend to support any updates needed for your home office spaceAll employees receive a $50/monthly stipend to be used for personal wellness and $50/ monthly stipend towards internet expensesXOi Technologies is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAt XOi we value individuality and the unique qualities we all bring to an organization.
