This position is ideal for a collaborative and enthusiastic professional who is passionate about building meaningful donor engagement programs that deepen the connection between Georgia State University and its supporters.Job DutiesEvent ManagementPlan and execute high-impact donor events, including those for the university’s premier donor group, the Presidents Society.Serve as the lead coordinator for all Donor Relations events, overseeing planning, task delegation, and execution.Collaborate with the Director to manage event budgets, generate financial reports, and share post-event metrics with Advancement leadership.Maintain a comprehensive annual events calendar, detailed work plans, and project timelines.Coordinate with designers, printers, and leadership to craft compelling event messaging and distribute invitations.Conduct thorough post-event follow-up, including staff debriefs, data entry, attendee correspondence, and vendor invoice finalization.Management & CollaborationHire, train, and supervise Donor Relations student assistants, providing guidance and performance feedback.Partner with campus stakeholders to implement donor stewardship strategies and evaluate outcomes.Communicate regularly with internal teams to align donor engagement goals and ensure consistent execution.OtherServe as a thoughtful, collaborative, and accountable team member. Job descriptions are reviewed periodically and may be revised if deemed necessary. Individuals will also be required to work some nights and weekends, when necessary,and  travel (via plane, train, or car) at least 15% of the time within and outside of the state of Georgia.QualificationsMinimum Hiring Standards:Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of supervisory/management experience; or a combination of education and related experience.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge and/or prior use of fundraising and donor management software like UCI Ascend, Salesforce, or similar software.Experience in higher education and/or nonprofit organization events management.Familiarity with software like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Qualtrics, Blackthorn, MS Office Suite, and event promotion sites.Entrepreneurial spirit and positive attitude to implement new strategies and meet ambitious goals.Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies, including C-Suite executives, university administrators, faculty, and others.College/Business Unit12/14/25, 4:59:00 AMCollege/Business Unit: University AdvancementLocation: Atlanta CampusJob Posting: 12/10/25, 3:26:10 PM
