Job ResponsibilitiesRepost: Previous applicants do not need to re-apply as all qualified applications will be considered.Job Responsibilities of the Director of Dual EnrollmentPlans, develops, manages, coordinates, markets, organizes, and provides access to quality education for the Division of Dual Enrollment, including management, supervision, and development of new technologies and approaches to serve the communities of Chesterfield, Marlboro, and Dillon counties and employees through program activities providing quality education.Coordinates all defined areas to include student enrollment, student assistance programs, distance learning programs, internships, apprenticeships, programming, and purchasing. Responsible for quarterly reporting of grant’s bench benchmarks and outcomes. Responsible for overseeing the submission of course and program CIP codes to the S.C. Department of Education by the CTE High School Directors. Responsible for the overseeing of the yearly submission of the Innovative Application to the S.C. Department of Education by the CTE High School Directors. Implements a comprehensive approach to CTE certificate completion, student participation, school district commitments, and overall program success. Advises, counsels, and oversees workforce CTE navigation coordinators and special population cohort through the enrollment process to include Admissions, Financial Aid, and Enrollment. Coordinates with the DE coordinator to ensure the needs of cohort students are met. Ensures and make recommendations of schedule changes, course options, and instructor availability to match career goals of CTE students. Verify courses are available for students’ completion and monitors all student's success in course.Implements a comprehensive approach to continuous improvement by using and analyzing relevant data to design, review, evaluate, and revise operations throughout the division. Oversees the interviewing, selection, monitoring, mentoring, and evaluation of department employees to ensure quality performance of personnel. Plans and executes regular orientations of JROTC, TAP, and other high school organizations for potential opportunities of enrollment. Follows up on all activities to ensure accomplishing results as required.Assists in the development and implementation of short and long-term plans for the division that supports and contributes to the achievement of quality education in alignment with college's strategic objectives, goals, and mission, and evaluates the effectiveness of initiatives and activities. Ensures that cooperative educational opportunities are provided to high schools served throughout the college service area of Chesterfield, Marlboro, and Dillon Counties. Oversees and develops opportunities for education delivery and partnership throughout the community to bring recognition of credentials, education opportunities, and the mission of Northeastern Technical College. Manages operational systems that result in effective administrative processes for budget management, inventory management, services offered, and scheduling to ensure a sound fiscal base and ROI. Builds relationships with external constituents to fulfill the mission, goals, and objectives of the college. Coordinates all defined areas to include student enrollment, student assistance programs, distance learning programs, internships, apprenticeships, programming, and purchasing. Department of Education by the CTE High School Directors.Other duties as assigned.Minimum and Additional RequirementsState Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs. Must have a valid driver's license. NETC Preferred Requirements: A master’s degree and one year of experience in student services programs.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of the basic principles and theories of student development and educational administration along with policies and procedures affecting the assigned program area(s). Knowledge of techniques related to individual or group counseling and public relations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, faculty, staff and the general public while identifying, developing and implementing programs and activities that will benefit the campus community. Ability to provide supportive counseling for a wide range of student problems and concerns and able to supervise, train and evaluate personnel. Ability to communicate effectively.Additional CommentsThis position supervises Dual Enrollment staff across three counties and is a combination of office-based responsibilities and travel to local business and industry. Travel may include in-state and out-of-state conferences and meetings. Travel may be in state owned or personal vehicle. The college operating hours (open to the public) are Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Employees are offered one flexible work schedule option.
