Director of Emergency Services at BSD Business Consulting

Position SummaryThe Director of Emergency Services leads all clinical and operational functions of the Emergency Department. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care regulatory compliance financial performance staffing efficiency and continuous improvement within a fast-paced environment. The director provides strategic direction oversees daily operations and supports the development of a high-performing nursing team.Key Responsibilities Direct and manage all Emergency Department operations including staffing scheduling and resource allocation Develop and oversee departmental budgets financial performance and cost-containment initiatives Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements (Joint Commission CMS EMTALA state regulations) Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives throughput metrics and patient satisfaction goals Oversee staff education onboarding performance evaluations and professional development Collaborate with physicians hospital leadership and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow and clinical outcomes Maintain updated departmental policies procedures and best-practice standards for emergency care Lead emergency preparedness planning and participate in relevant hospital committees Drive a culture of patient-centered care safety accountability and continuous improvementRequired Qualifications Registered Nurse with current state licensure (BSN required or in progress; MSN preferred) Minimum 23 years of leadership experience within Emergency Services Proven experience in department operations including budgeting staffing and performance management Demonstrated success in staff development continuing education initiatives and team leadership Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and emergency care standards Ability to lead in a dynamic high-acuity environmentPreferred Qualifications Advanced degree (MSN MBA MHA) Experience in a community hospital or similarly structured ED Training in Lean Six Sigma or process improvement methodologiesBSD Business ConsultingRequired Experience:Director Key Skills Crisis Management,Marketing,Public Relations,Fundraising,Media Relations,Constant Contact,Strategic Planning,Social Media Management,Team Management,Public Speaking,Wordpress,Writing Skills Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
