Our systems are supported by staff throughout the United States Canada Mexico Europe Malaysia and China.Position SummaryCircuit Check Inc. is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead our Electrical Mechanical and Software Engineering teams. This position is responsible for driving innovation managing multidisciplinary engineering functions and overseeing all aspects of product design development and delivery. The Director will also lead Research & Development (R&D) efforts to explore new technologies expand product capabilities and ensure that Circuit Check remains at the forefront of the electronic test equipment industry.The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a strong technical background and proven ability to deliver complex engineering programs on time and within budget while fostering collaboration innovation and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team DevelopmentProvide strategic direction and mentorship to Engineering Managers (Electrical Mechanical and Software) and their teamsBuild and maintain a high-performing innovative engineering organizationEstablish departmental goals performance metrics and accountability standards.Research & DevelopmentDirect R&D initiatives to identify evaluate and implement new technologies that enhance product performance and competitivenessCollaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to define and develop next-generation test equipment solutionsOversee prototype development proof-of-concept validation and transition to production.Engineering OperationsManage all phases of product development from concept through release ensuring quality compliance and manufacturabilityImplement best practices in engineering processes documentation and design reviewsEnsure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations (ISO IPC UL CE etc.).Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Operations and Manufacturing to ensure smooth transfer of designs to productionSupport Sales Marketing and Project Management in developing customer proposals and delivering solutions that meet technical requirementsWork with Procurement to qualify suppliers and components that align with project and product needs.Budget & Resource ManagementDevelop and manage engineering budgets staffing and resource allocationPrioritize investments in tools infrastructure and training to support long-term innovation and efficiencyRecruit retain and develop engineering talent.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelors degree in Electrical Mechanical Software Engineering or related field required; Masters degree preferred10 years of progressive engineering experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership roleProven experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teamsBackground in electronic test equipment automated test systems or complex electromechanical systems preferred.Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership communication and interpersonal skillsBroad technical knowledge across electrical mechanical and software engineering disciplinesDemonstrated success in driving R&D initiatives and bringing innovative products to marketStrong project management and organizational skillsFinancial acumen with experience managing budgets and capital investmentsAbility to balance strategic planning with hands-on problem solving.What We OfferCompetitive salary and performance-based incentivesComprehensive benefits package including medical dental vision life and disability insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development and training opportunitiesA collaborative environment that values innovation and teamwork.This job description reflects managements assignment of key responsibilities;it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.The salary range is $130000 to $190000 per year. The listed ranges represent the full earning potential in this position. Starting salaries for well-qualified new hires are typically around the midpoint of the range. These ranges were determined by a market-based compensation approach; we used data from trusted third-party compensation sources to set equitable consistent and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation annually identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed.
