BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Must be a Christian who is a member of a church that holds Jesus Christ to be their Lordand Savior, and who holds solely the Old Testament and the New Testament as sacredScriptures.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or related field and experience inmanaging marketing and communications teams. Experience within a higher educationsetting preferred. Advanced degree preferred.A cooperative attitude toward DBU’s goals and environment.The ability to organize, manage, problem-solve, focus, and work well with others.Excellent management and leadership skills, with an ability to guide and mentor staff andcontractors while delegating assignments as needed to meet critical deadlines.Demonstrated ability to gain consensus among multiple stakeholders in a decentralizedenvironment, as well as the ability to partner with others to guide projects to successfulcompletion while staying within budget.Excellent written, digital, and oral communication skills with the ability to translateorganizational programs and services into engaging and accessible stories and other contentfor various audiences.Expert knowledge of communications principles and techniques including knowledge ofgraphic and web design principles and the ability to professionally and efficiently partnerwith design professionals to produce high-quality deliverables within budget.Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, lean organization. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:1. Work with the Senior Vice President to reframe the Enrollment Marketing division fromtransactional to strategic and reactive to proactive2. Direct daily operations of Enrollment Marketing including web, social media, visualcommunications, and marketing teams by communicating a clear and compelling agendafor team members and coordination within the University Communications Division3. Mentor and develop Enrollment Marketing team members, promoting a culture of servantleadership, high performance, diversity, continuous improvement, accountability, andkindness4. Assist the Senior Vice President in implementing an integrated and comprehensivecommunications plan related to Enrollment for the University and management of theEnrollment Marketing division5. Provide leadership, oversight, and technical direction for University communicationsrelated to Enrollment to ensure all communications are clear, concise, and consistent withthe University brand standards.6. Implement strategies and promote consistency with the DBU brand in all externalcommunications related to Enrollment7. Evaluate advertising opportunities and work with the Enrollment Division to determine thebest advertising strategy for their needs8. Serve as point person for college guides and directories related to Enrollment to ensure themost current information is published9. Collaborate with Enrollment and Retention areas to educate them on the University brandstandards and align University Communication strategy with their needs10. Ensure smooth implementation and ongoing effective use of technology solutions such as aproject management system, digital asset manager, customer relations management system,marketing automation system, and analytics tools by University Communications’ staff andother key constituents.11. Encourage and promote collaboration, visibility, and involvement of centralcommunications team members with department leads and vice presidents12. Regularly meet with departmental leads and assistant/associate vice presidents to ensurethey feel respected and heard to leverage communication and marketing assets across theUniversity13. Works closely with the Marketing and Data Analyst to develop methodology and utilizetools to measure and monitor the effectiveness of University Communications’ Enrollmentinitiatives14. Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President and PresidentWORK SCHEDULE:The Director will have regular hours as agreed upon by the Senior Vice President; however, evenings and weekends will be required as campus events warrant.WORK LOCATION:This position will work on the main campus, located at 3000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211
