Job Details

The Director of Finance will serve as the senior finance leader overseeing the day-to-day accounting and finance operations for a global, multi-entity organization. This role is highly hands-on and requires a strong mix of accounting leadership, FP&A, treasury management, banking relationship management, inventory/product costing expertise, and strategic business partnership.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment and bring experience supporting a commodity-based, low-margin, high-volume business model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all core accounting and finance functions including treasury, audit coordination, tax compliance, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting
  • Oversee month-end close, multi-entity consolidations, account reconciliations, and internal financial controls
  • Manage product costing, landed cost analysis, inventory reconciliation, and margin analysis across complex international supply chains
  • Partner with executive leadership to evaluate profitability drivers, pricing strategy, operational efficiencies, and growth opportunities
  • Support banking relationships, liquidity planning, and financing initiatives
  • Develop financial models, ad hoc reporting, and business insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Lead and mentor a small finance and accounting team while remaining hands-on in day-to-day operations
  • Assist with international finance activities including transfer pricing, tax coordination, and global operational support
  • Support evolving treasury and commodity hedging initiatives

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • CPA, MBA, or other advanced designation preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience
  • Experience within wholesale distribution, manufacturing, commodity, import/export, chemicals, agriculture, or related industries strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of product costing, inventory accounting, and margin analysis
  • Experience operating within low-margin, high-volume business environments
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite strongly preferred
  • Ability to operate effectively in entrepreneurial, evolving organizations
  • Strong executive communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional leaders
