Job Details New Rochelle - New Rochelle NY Full Time Masters Degree $75000.00 - $85000.00 Salary/year DayDescription Job Summary: This is a full-time 12 month position that reports to the Dean of Arts and Science. The Project Director has the authority to make Program decisions and has the primary responsibility for compliance with New York State Education Department (NYSED) regulations and requirements. The Director is responsible for providing leadership to the partnership is the contact person in all matters involving the Department and the project and is responsible for management of the grant and all related activities. Related activities include but are not limited to management of the budget; program development and implementation and evaluation; public relations; hiring and supervision of staff; student admission to the project; data collection; and preparation of reports and all other documents that may be required by the Department.Duties and Responsibilities: Overseeing all aspects of LPP programing servicing 360-400 students across 5 sitesProvide middle and high school summer programmingCollaborating with key personnel at LPP sites regarding the provision of servicesMonitor social and emotional status of students through SEL surveys and assessment toolsAnalysis of assessment data and evidence-based decision-makingDeveloping and implementing assessment plan for variety of services providedDeveloping and implementing recruiting effortsWriting all state and institutional Program reportsCommunicating with NYSED and representing Iona LPP program at state functions/conferencesMonitoring all Program funds and providing state with up-to-date budget informationMaintaining all Program recordsReviewing progress reports from counselors and tutorsHiring all program personnelMonitor payroll/approve time sheetsDevelop and implement activities programs and services for students eligible for LPPScheduling and attending regular meetings of Program StaffMonitoring the Program to assure that LPP goals and objectives are being metDeveloping workshops and programs in cooperation with other regional LPP programsFoster a collegial environment within the Education and Psychology DepartmentsCompleting any other tasks assigned by the Dean of Arts and ScienceOccasional overnight travel requiredQualifications Qualifications:Education: Required Masters Degree in Education School Psychology or related field.Experience: Experience in the administration of funded programs focusing on student success; demonstrated knowledge of high school/college collaborative programming.Specialized Skills: Budget/Project Management Supervisory Decision Making Leadership Mentoring Building and Maintaining Relationships Survey Design Statistical Analysis and Report Preparation.About Iona University/EEO languageFounded in 1940 Iona University is a masters-granting private Catholic coeducational institution of learning in the tradition of the Edmund Rice Christian Brothers.
