Our YouTube and Instagram channels are category leaders. We’ve become the #1 voice in restaurant growth. We have attracted customers, investors, and world-class talent using media.Our channels regularly get over 3 million organic impressions per month, and we’re looking to double down on this momentum by building a dedicated Media team. It will make media an even bigger advantage for attracting customers and talent. The Director of Media Operations is one of our early hires for this team.As the Director of Media Operations, you’ll design and scale the systems that will help us (1) grow our audience across all channels, (2) acquire more customers, and (3) strengthen our movement and communityYou’ll make the media engine run smoother, faster, and better on our way to build Owner.com into a generational company.This role is based in San Francisco, California.\uD83D\uDCA5 The impact you will haveWork in close partnership with the VP of Media on Media Team org planning and growth, set direction and the operating cadence for all channels.Define an ongoing strategy for prioritization of organic channels, secure executive buy in on resource allocation, and make clear tradeoff calls for our media investments.Identify key hiring and resourcing needs to increase our follower growth by orders of magnitude, develop and execute recruiting plans end to end.Architect and lead the operational backbone of Owner’s media organization across both the customer and talent brands.Manage vendor relationships and deliverables ensuring quality, speed to publish and optimize cost per asset.Build systems, dashboards, and automations that improve team velocity, visibility, and use them to drive cross-functional decisionsEnsure our media teams are always ahead of the ball on media inputs and outputs— with conflict-free production planning, resource management, and posting calendarsCreate real-time reporting infrastructure that turns creative output into measurable audience growth and business impactHit clear “can’t miss” KPIs for our team, increase publishing frequency, raise asset quality, and reduce redundant work across channels\uD83E\uDD1D Who you’ll work withReport directly to Chief of Staff to the CEO and VP of MediaPartner closely with CEO, VP of Marketing, Director of Content Marketing, and cross-functional leaders across Product, Marketing, and People TeamsCollaborate with external vendors and creative partners to ensure seamless delivery and alignment.✅ What we’re looking for6+ years of experience in media operations, project management, or technical operations in a media-focused environment2+ years managing cross-functional projects or teams (media, analytics, engineering)Advanced proficiency in project management tools for Media: ClickUp, Notion, or Asana - plus automation tools like Zapier, Airtable, or similarProven ability to identify bottlenecks, build scalable workflows, and lead complex operational systemsStrong analytical instincts with experience designing dashboards or automated reportingMeticulous attention to detail — from file structure and compliance to naming conventions and SOPsExcellent communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment\uD83C\uDFC6 Pay and benefitsThe estimated base salary range for this role is $180,000–$220,000, plus a generous pre-IPO equity package.Other benefits include comprehensive health coverage, a remote-first workplace, unlimited PTO - plus extra fun perks!\uD83D\uDEA9 Notice - Employment ScamsCommunication from our team regarding job opportunities will only be made by an Owner team member with an @owner.com email address.We do not conduct interviews over email or chat platforms, and we will never ask you to provide personal or financial information such as your mailing address, social security number, credit card numbers or banking information.  If you believe you are being contacted by scammer, please mark the communication as "phishing" or “spam” and do not respond.
