Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHoyos Consulting LLC is searching for a Director of Network Operations to join our team, as we grow our network and consulting practice across Wisconsin and the Midwest. This position would oversee and lead our engineering and field operations teams. The right person here would be able to jump in and hit the ground running as a key member of our team, and helping grow and streamline our practices. This position would report directly to the CEO.RESPONSIBILITIES:Leadership/management/mentorship to engineering and field operations staffPlan/implement network growth projects (ISP - fixed wireless + fiber expansion)Plan/implement customer driven projects (network consulting, wireless deployments, optical networks)General support/ technical escalation point for network events/issuesMaintain and monitor Hoyos Consulting's network, and improve where possibleREQUIREMENTS:5+ years experience with networking technologies/protocols3+ years of leadership and/or supervisory experience in telecommunications related fieldExperience working in a service provider and/or consulting environment, and 24x7 operational supportSelf-motivated, self-starter, able to learn on the fly and work independentlyStrong attention to details and documentationComfortable in front of a customerNICE TO HAVE:Experience with BGP/OSPF/MPLS/MetroEthernet implementationExperience with optical network architecture and troubleshooting (DWDM/CWDM)Juniper (JunOS, MX/ACX specific), Cisco (IOS), Ubiquiti and Fortinet experienceExperience with fixed wireless and large-scale user facing wirelessABOUT HOYOS CONSULTING:Hoyos Consulting is a boutique internet service provider and consultancy, providing internet services, colocation, managed services and expert level network consulting.
