We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing in a Nursing Home to lead our nursing team at Oasis at the Keys Nursing and Rehab, a 120 Bed Nursing Home in the Florida Keys. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of quality care to our residents.
About the Role:
As a Director of Nursing in a Nursing Home, you will be responsible for the overall direction and management of our nursing services, including staff supervision, patient care, and quality improvement initiatives. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring that our residents receive the best possible care. Your leadership and expertise will also be essential in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the nursing team
Develop and implement effective care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members
Supervise and mentor nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to regulatory requirements
Foster a culture of safety, quality, and excellence in patient care
Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, vendors, and other stakeholders
Analyze data and identify opportunities for quality improvement and cost reduction
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards
Participate in departmental and hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 5 years of experience as a nurse, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
Current RN license and certification (if applicable)
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
