Director of Nursing (DON)
Maplewood Rehab and Nursing, a cozy 86 bed premier healthcare provider in Amesbury, MA, is seeking an exceptional Director of Nursing to join our team. As a Director of Nursing, you will play a crucial role in leading our nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

A VP of Clinical Operations and a Regional Director of Operations available for support
DON Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership to the nursing department, including developing policies, procedures, and staffing plans to ensure effective delivery of patient care
Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, including scheduling, budgeting, and staff development
Collaborate with the medical and administrative teams to develop and implement clinical programs and services
Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and accrediting bodies, including but not limited to Joint Commission and CMS
Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Participate in budget planning and management to ensure financial stability and growth
DON Requirements:
Experience in a Director of Nursing role or equivalent leadership experience in Nursing or a related field
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Massachusetts
Possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Minimum Requirements (Must Have):
Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF)
Prior role as ADON, Unit Manager, or similar nursing leadership in LTC
Familiarity with state surveys and CMS regulations
