Director of Nursing-Home Health at Home Health Services of Virginia

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe HCO Director of Nursing is a critical part of the agency and must have experience working in the home health setting. We are looking for an individual that is versatile and able to wear a number of hats. This individual must have the following:A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree is preferred.Must hold a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing.Must have experience working in a home care agency within a supervisory role.The responsibilities of this individual include but are not limited to:Oversee home health program and operations.Oversee and complete clinical documentation.Ensure agency compliance with regulations.Experience with successfully managing home health program within state, federal and local guidelines.Knowledgeable on Medicaid/Medicare and VDH requirements for home health program.Facilitate assessments and plan of care for clients.Complete and obtain service authorization from Medicaid/Medicare.Facilitate home visits evaluating client needs on a consistent basis.Supervises home health staff to ensure appropriate delivery of service in relation to plan of care.Facilitates mandated training for home health staff at orientation and on a monthly basis.Conducts home health aide training.
