JOB DESCRIPTION

We pride ourselves on delivering compassionate, quality care in a safe and supportive environment. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department and ensure the highest standards of resident care.

Position Summary:
The Director of Nursing oversees all clinical aspects of the facility, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies. This leader is responsible for staff supervision, care planning, medication administration oversight, and coordination with physicians, families, and regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise nursing and care staff, ensuring proper coverage and training

  • Oversee resident assessments, care plans, and ongoing health monitoring

  • Ensure proper medication administration, documentation, and storage

  • Implement and monitor infection control and safety practices

  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and licensing standards

  • Act as a liaison with physicians, case managers, residents, and families

  • Participate in quality improvement, audits, and incident investigations

  • Provide hands-on nursing care as needed

  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies

Qualifications:

  • Current, valid LPN or RN license in the State of Ohio (required)

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in long-term care, assisted living, or related setting

  • Prior leadership or management experience preferred

  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

  • Ability to lead by example and promote a positive, team-based culture

  • Knowledge of state regulations and compliance standards for assisted living
