IntroductionTHIS RECRUITMENT IS LIMITED TO CURRENT EMPLOYEES OF THEMARYLAND DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH ONLY.GRADE 26 LOCATION OF POSITION MDH Springfield Hospital Center Sykesville MD Main Purpose of Job The Director of Nursing at Springfield Hospital Center is responsible for promoting quality by incorporating current nursing research findings nationally recognized professionalstandards and other expert literature into policies and procedures governing the provision of nursing care treatment and services provided by the nursing department. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Qualified applicants must possess a masters degree in nursing related field from an accredited college or university and five years of psychiatric nursing experience (as a registered nurse) of which at least three years must have been in a supervisory teaching or administrative capacity.Qualified candidates must possess a license as a Registered Nurse by the Maryland Board of Nursing. A copy of your current RN license must accompany application.A bachelors degree in nursing or related field from an accredited college or university together with seven years of psychiatric nursing experience (as a registered nurse) of which at least five years must have been in a supervisory teaching or administrative capacity is also qualifying.
