Position Summary for the Director of Nursing (RN):

The Director of Nursing (RN) is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and administration of the nursing department. The Director of Nursing (RN) ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of clinical excellence, teamwork, and resident-centered care.

Key Responsibilities for the Director of Nursing (RN):

  • Oversee daily nursing operations and clinical services

  • Recruit, mentor, and retain nursing staff

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

  • Develop and maintain quality assurance and performance improvement programs

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote outstanding resident outcomes

  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and departmental budgets

  • Support staff development through training and professional growth opportunities

Qualifications for the Director of Nursing (RN)

  • Must posses a current RN license, preferably in the state of PA

  • Three years of supervisory and/or Director of Nursing (RN) or Assistant Director of Nursing experience preferred

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey processes

  • Commitment to resident-centered care and staff engagement
