Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary Range: $115,000 – $135,000Relocation: Partial relocation assistance availableThe Director of Nursing – Women’s and Children's Health provides strategic and operational leadership for the Women’s and Children’s Services Department. This position is responsible for overseeing departmental activities, resource management, and delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care for women, newborns, and pediatric patients. The Director ensures alignment of departmental goals with broader organizational strategies while promoting clinical excellence and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Responsibilities:Strategic LeadershipDevelop and implement departmental goals, standards, and operational plans aligned with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements.Lead initiatives that support organizational mission and performance metrics.Operational OversightOversee Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, NICU, and Pediatric services.Ensure excellence in clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.Staff Development & ManagementLead hiring, onboarding, evaluation, disciplinary actions, and professional development.Cultivate a positive, growth-oriented team culture.Mentor and support nurse leaders and clinical staff.Financial & Resource ManagementDevelop and manage departmental budgets.Monitor expenditures, ensure cost-effectiveness, and oversee audit readiness.Quality & SafetyPromote evidence-based care and compliance with standards set by HIPAA, Joint Commission, and other regulatory bodies.Drive continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.Interdisciplinary CollaborationPartner with medical staff, anesthesia providers, and administrative leadership to enhance care delivery and service integration.Strengthen coordination across units for maternal, infant, and pediatric populations.Additional DutiesMaintain regular and reliable attendance.Complete other tasks as assigned.Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Current West Virginia RN license or eligibility for licensure5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in Women’s and Children’s HealthProven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia providersCurrent certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (or ability to obtain within specified timeframe)Performance Expectations:Demonstrate strategic thinking and operational excellenceBuild a cohesive and accountable clinical teamSustain high standards in patient safety and quality careDrive measurable improvement in department performance Ready to take the next step in your career?Apply today or contact us at 800-613-9920 or click Find A Job to explore more opportunities waiting for you.
