DescriptionAdditional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee Prospera Hotels. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotels employment policies and practices including hiring firing discipline staffing compensation benefits and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International Inc.As Director of Sales and Marketing you will drive revenue and promote the hotels brand by developing sales and marketing plans managing the sales team and building client relationships. This role requires leadership market insight and a results-driven mindset with strong communication negotiation and analytical skills. You will enhance the hotels visibility and profitability ideal for those passionate about sales marketing and hospitality.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):As the Director of Sales and Marketing you will be pivotal in driving revenue growth and enhancing the hotels market presence through strategic sales and marketing initiatives.Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing plans to maximize revenue and market share aligning with Marriotts standards.Lead the sales team providing training and guidance to ensure high performance and achievement of sales targets.Cultivate relationships with key clients partners and stakeholders to expand the hotels reach and drive business growth.Collaborate with other departments such as operations and front office to ensure cohesive execution of marketing strategies and exceptional guest experiences.Analyze market trends competitor activities and customer feedback to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.Oversee digital marketing efforts including social media email campaigns and online advertising to enhance brand visibility and engagement.Manage budgets and resources efficiently to ensure cost-effective marketing practices and optimal return on investment.As the Director of Sales and Marketing at Courtyard by Marriott you will be a vital part of a team dedicated to hospitality excellence. Your innovative strategies and leadership will drive the hotels success and uphold its commitment to service professional growth teamwork and inclusivity. This role requires exceptional organizational skills creative thinking proactive problem-solving excellent communication and a strategic vision to foster a welcoming and engaging atmosphere.Demonstrated capability to engage positively with guests from a wide range of socioeconomic cultural disability and ethnic backgrounds.A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Marketing Hospitality or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.A minimum of five years of progressive experience in sales and marketing within the hospitality industry with a distinct advantage for those experienced with the Marriott brand.Strong emphasis on guest satisfaction combined with exceptional professional demeanor and presentation skills.A customer-centric mindset with refined professional presentation abilities.Key strengths should include high energy levels a proactive attitude excellent communication skills a proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service and a knack for enhancing operational effectiveness.Knowledge and Skills:Proficiency in multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Minimum age requirement of 21 years. A genuine passion for meeting the needs of others in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Proficient in modern CRM software and digital marketing tools. Language Skills:Proficient in reading and understanding complex instructions professional correspondence and marketing materials. Ability to draft professional correspondence and marketing content. Skill in effectively presenting information to large groups potential clients and executive management. Mathematical Skills:Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
