artful surroundings and innovative offerings from our culinary team.Job DescriptionRecruit, interview and hire Security Supervisors, Officers and other security team membersManage Security & Loss Prevention Department, including all activities regarding scheduling, evaluation, promotion and disciplinary actionLead training and other continuing education for Security Staff and entire hotelDirect staff in the prompt resolution of security-related concerns, whether from guests, employees or third partiesEstablish and implement training plans on security-related policies and procedures at the hotelLead and develop the security team, including the training and promotion of Security OfficersRepresent the department in Head of Department meetingsUse wide discretion in setting security related policies and procedures throughout the hotelHandle and oversee emergency situation protocolsEnsure that all hotel managers are properly trained in Crisis ManagementLead all security-related efforts in situations involving fire, health and safetyDirect other security staff in managing threatening situations, such as fires or other threats, liaising with the Duty Manager, Telephone Receptions and Police as neededManage Security Officers in their responses to fire alarms, panic alarms, door alarms or monitored eventsManage various protocols along with law enforcement regarding international protected person visitsMaintain the continued growth of business relationships with corporate, government and legal partnershipsLead the management and implementation of the Hotel's health and safety policies and procedures, including its fire and bomb proceduresLead the management, implementation, and training of the workplace violence prevention plan for all staff membersDirect all staff in the usage, reporting and monitoring of the Hotel's CCTV systemLiaise with local police groups, providing assistance and support as neededDirect the patrolling of all interior and external areas of the hotel, ensuring that all areas are properly staffed and Security Officers use appropriate procedures;Direct security team members in administering the lost and found property system and monitoring the guest key systemDirect the implementation of policies and procedures regarding searches for suspect devices and the investigation of suspicious items, bags and objectsDirect, implement, investigate, and manage with the security team all injuries, including the accurate and timely reporting of all injuries at the hotel for both guest and colleagues.Manage the hotel's Security training programs and direct the maintenance of training recordsDirect the implementation and management of safety policies with respect to smoking, drinking and general behaviorMaintain amicable and cooperative working relations with other departments in the HotelChampion the Health & Safety Committee and its activitiesOther duties as assignedQualifications3+ years
