Director of UX at Hasura

Hasura No longer available

Job Description

About the team

Hasura's PromptQL Product and Engineering team is working on the cutting edge of AI. We are obsessed with enhancing AI's accuracy and reliability in enterprise environments.

We are a small team with a huge impact. Anyone who joins this team is joining the core group of people shaping the direction of PromptQL and therefore the future of how AI interacts with data and infrastructure layers in enterprises across virtually every industry.

About the role

PromptQL by Hasura is seeking a Director of UX to lead the user experience strategy of our AI product, PromptQL. In this role you would partner closely with product management, engineering, and the rest of the technical team to deliver a high quality, AI user experience. You will define and own the UX roadmap of PromptQL, providing a greater ease of use, delight, and value for our customers. You would oversee design research and bring new UI/UX best practices you learned through prior experience to PromptQL.

Role Requirements
  • You are a subject matter expert in UX who can unlock the full impact that thoughtful design and user flows can have on a paradigm shifting product
  • You have prior experience working on conversational AI, low code AI workflow builder, or AI automation platform products
  • You have a skill set that connects human centered design with the technical, probabilistic, and ambiguous nature of AI systems
  • Familiarity with machine learning fundamentals, LLMs, and an understanding of the business outcomes that can be unlocked with accurate AI across many different industries and use cases
  • Adept at testing AI specific UX issues
  • Extremely comfortable with prototyping/wireframing and articulating new ideas to a wider audience
You might not be a fit for this role if
  • You prefer working in isolation rather than collaborating closely with cross functional teams like engineering and product management
  • Your experience with AI is limited to leveraging existing experiences; as compared to being part of building and iterating an end user AI experience
  • You're not comfortable with rapid prototyping as a key tool to demonstrate your design approaches and ideas
  • You are not equipped to independently run and test, well documented software and services on your workstation (Mac or Linux)
  • You're looking for a role where the UX patterns are already well established rather than helping to define new paradigms
Technology stack
  • Figma
  • React, Javascript, CSS
  • Git
  • Basic Shell (Mac or Linux)
  • Docker (not a requirement; used for local development or testing)
Location & Travel Requirements
  • Located 2-3 days a week at our HQ in downtown San Francisco
  • No travel requirements, outside of the ad hoc AI conferences, meet ups, etc
Compensation
  • 200,000 - 300,000 + bonus
  • Equity
