Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Director, Youth and Family Services Department:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Workforce Management:Schedule and assign work to departmental employees, prioritizing tasks to meet service needs efficiently.Verify the accuracy of employee time sheets.Approve and authorize comp time for department staff when necessary, utilizing flexible scheduling to minimize comp time and maintain uninterrupted departmental coverage.Service Delivery Oversight:Oversee the efficient operation of department services.Develop employee schedules to optimize staffing levels and productivity.Provide necessary training to staff for effective job performance.Maintain, expand, or develop services and programs to align with residents' evolving needs.Communication and Reporting:Notify the Executive Director promptly of any circumstances that may negatively impact the township or its service delivery.Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.Represent the township, its officers, and administration positively.Time-Off Authorization and Reporting:Authorize time-off requests for management in consultation with the Township Supervisor or Executive Director.Submit monthly department activity reports to the Board for Board Packets.Strategic Planning and Development:Develop service strategies that align with budgetary requirements.Cultivate positive relationships with staff, co-workers, and customers.Establish linkages with community resources and university programs/resources.Identify and pursue grant/funding opportunities.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise all Youth and Family Services staff.Chair the Clinical Coordination Team.Coordinate and oversee Program Managers.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEA minimum of LCSW with three (3) years of administrative experience or an LCPC with a master’s degree in counseling or a related field with five (5) years of administrative experience is required.
