The Opportunity

Reporting to the Divisional Vice President, Global Strategic Initiatives, this role is a key member of the PMO leadership team, and is responsible for the New Product Introduction (NPI) portfolio, spanning sensors, readers, apps and cloud. This role ensures end-to-end orchestration of product readiness, from development through launch and scale, across global markets and includes oversight of all cross-functional programs in the portfolio. Unlike program-level roles, the G22 leader owns the portfolio system (governance, prioritization, and operating model) that enables consistent, high-quality execution of NPI initiatives at scale. This position operates at an enterprise level, supporting the translation of business objectives into actional projects and programs through established business controls and integrated business planning process. The Program Management Director will lead across a highly matrixed environment, ensuring alignment to strategy while driving execution excellence and building organizational capability.

What You'll Work On

NPI Portfolio Leadership

  • Translate enterprise and divisional strategy into executable portfolio plans and prioritized roadmaps
  • Ensure all NPI portfolio initiatives align to product roadmap, Integrated Business Planning (IBP), and strategic priorities
  • Orchestrate dependencies across: Hardware, software, and digital ecosystems, Internal functions (R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, Commercial), External partners and platform integrations
  • Resolve cross-system constraints impacting delivery timelines

Portfolio Governance and Operating Model

  • Define and lead portfolio governance structures (e.g., PMR, intake and prioritization processes)
  • Establish decision frameworks, escalation pathways, and performance tracking mechanisms
  • Ensure disciplined execution through repeatable processes and consistent standards
  • G22 leaders are responsible for building operating structures and governance at scale

Launch Readiness & Delivery Excellence

  • Define and enforce NPI readiness criteria across programs: Product development maturity, Regulatory submissions and approvals, Supply and manufacturing readiness, Commercial launch preparedness
  • Drive consistent, high-quality execution across global product launches and releases

Risk, Compliance & Quality Leadership

  • Ensure adherence to global regulatory, quality, and compliance requirements
  • Proactively manage portfolio-level risks and dependencies
  • Enable robust decision-making through transparent risk visibility and mitigation strategies

Executive Communication & Decision Support

  • Provide clear, decision-oriented insights to senior leadership
  • Frame options, trade-offs, and recommendations for portfolio decisions
  • Ensure timely escalation of issues requiring executive alignment

Talent Leadership & PMO Capability

  • Build and lead a high-performing project and program leadership organization (G18G21)
  • Develop succession pipelines and leadership capability across the PMO
  • Drive adoption of best practices, tools, and standard ways of working

Experience You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years experience in program/portfolio leadership within a global, matrixed team, preferably including experience with consumer-focused medical or software products.
  • Associates Degree (+/- 13 years)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cross-functional experience in the areas of R&D, Commercial, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, and Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards related to medical devices (eg FDA, ISO, QSR design controls).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-level portfolios and influence senior stakeholders, and to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders across multiple time zones.
  • Deep expertise in governance design, operating models, and portfolio prioritization
  • Strong executive communication and decision-making skills
  • Proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams
  • Experience with portfolio management tools and reporting frameworks preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people at all levels of the organization
  • Strong leadership, and the ability to collect information from multiple sources, and synthesize, integrate, and resolve conflicting requirements and cross-functional issues.
