Are you ready to drive central initiatives and make a significant impact in the realm of US Medical Affairs As the Director of Strategic Business Planning & Execution youll be at the forefront of aligning projects with strategic imperatives collaborating with internal colleagues and external vendors and leading a dynamic team. Your leadership will ensure that strategic programs are accomplished efficiently enabling informed decision-making that propels the success of US Medical Affairs.LEADERSHIPManage mentor and motivate the USMA Strategic Business Planning & Execution Team.Foster cross-functional engagement and build an effective network within the organization through dynamic collaboration.Drive continuous improvement in strategic planning and performance management collaborating as an active thought partner.Strategic programsEnsure effective delivery of key strategic programs and business operations activities.Drive annual enterprise strategy development and local adoption.Communicate progress against performance targets and evolve tracking methods for business health and performance trends.Identify and monitor significant performance measures for US Medical Affairs.Develop novel data overlaps and trends to identify future opportunities or remediation plans.Financial managementFacilitate strategic alignment across US Medical Affairs and key cross-functional partners.Coordinate tactical plans and metrics reporting communicating with collaborators from inception through execution.Lead annual budget planning quarterly re-forecasts and financial requests identifying key opportunities and risks.Drive all financial planning activities including budgeting re-forecasting long-range planning and pipeline business plans.Manage contracting e-requisition purchase order generation and vendor onboarding processes.Operational effectivenessReport track and develop a carbon budget to support sustainability targets.Oversee HCP Engagement Sponsorship review and audit compliance.Drive continuous improvement of systems and identify early areas of potential risk with Compliance and Legal.Team communicationsLead real-time team communications for increased clarity.Develop innovative ways to share information with the team.Create training applying adult learning principles for process understanding.Essential Skills/Experience:Bachelors degree required10 years in the pharmaceutical industry in Medical Affairs organizationsProject management certification strongly preferredUnderstanding of drug development and lifecycle managements medical affairs operations and compliance/legal/finance requirements across Medical AffairsProven ability to manage budget and internal & external resourcesSelf-starter with strong leadership problem-solving organizational and negotiating skillsHighly influential with demonstrated ability to create and lead successful cross-functional teamsAbility to professionally interact with all levels of the organizationExercises foresight and judgment in making complex decisionsFlexibility and agility to adapt to changing project scope and directionMust demonstrate energy and enthusiasmHigh ethics and integrity standards; ability to maintain confidentialityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsContinuous improvement mindsetAdvanced software skills particularly MS Excel and PowerPointAbility to travel up to 10% of the time.When we put unexpected teams in the same room we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing -person working gives us the platform we need to connect work at pace and challenge perceptions. Join us in our unique and ambitious world.The annual base pay for this position ranges from $196800 - $295200 USD Annual. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location job-related knowledge skills and addition our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles) to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles) and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program 401(k) plan; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and health benefits including medical prescription drug dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
