î¤î¸î6 hours ago Post DateJob SummaryProvides strategic leadership and oversight of the sourcing function, ensuring transparent, compliant and effective procurement practices. Develops and implement sourcing strategies aligned with institutional goals and financial goals, while ensuring adherence to Board policies, laws and regulations. Drives continuous improvement across all sourcing operations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSServe as the primary liaison on strategic sourcing matters with senior leadership, internal stakeholders, and external partners, and cooperative purchasing programs, ensuring contract compliance and maximizing collective buying power.Review and approve solicitation documents, evaluation criteria, contract terms, and award recommendations to ensure alignment with institutional goals.Oversee supplier logistics and inventory-related sourcing strategies to minimize supply chain disruptions, reduce stockouts, control inventory costs.Establish benching frameworks to evaluate sourcing performance against peer institutions and consortia, identifying areas for continuous improvement.Promote fair and transparent sourcing processes that emphasize small business inclusion while fostering strong supplier relationships aligned with institutional goals, sustainability initiatives, and long-term value creation.Apply lifecycle cost analysis to evaluate total cost of ownership (TCO), beyond initial purchase price to support long-term financial planning.Champion innovation, technology adoption, and continuous process improvements to enhance sourcing and operational efficiency by conducting market and industry analysis to identify sourcing opportunities, supplier innovations, and emerging best practices.Assist with managing supplier performance, including KPIs for quality, delivery, service levels, and compliance with contract terms.Lead the development and presentation of strategic sourcing reports, performance dashboards, and Board agenda items.Collaborate with Finance, Facilities, Information Technology, and academic divisions to forecast demand and align sourcing strategies with institutional priorities.Assist with developing and enforcing contract risk mitigation strategies, including indemnification clauses, insurance requirements, performance bonds, and remedies for non-performance.
