In this role you will have the following daily key responsibilities:

This position is for the Director of the Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific (SWFPAC) at Silverdale Washington; dedicated to the mission of providing, maintaining and protecting the Strategic Weapon Systems for the Pacific Ballistic Missile Submarine Fleet. This position reports directly to the Director of Mission Operations and works in concert with the Commanding Officer of SWFPAC and is responsible for all Lockheed Martin operations at SWFPAC including Base Operations, Safety, Missile Body Production, Reentry Body Production, Engineering, Quality, Financial Management, Materiel, Metrology, Equipment/Vehicle Maintenance and Support. The LM SWFPAC team is a combination of direct report and matrixed organizations comprised of over 400+ direct and indirect employees, including hourly represented employees, who work closely with other members of the SWFPAC Military, Government Civil Service and other associate contractors.

To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

Bachelors in related Engineering/Business degree

Proven experience as a senior leader building and leading highly effective teams to meet or exceed quality, cost, schedule and technical objectives

Experience with Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program

Demonstrated successful experience leading and/or supporting Assembly, Integration, and Test operations

Demonstrated ability to plan, propose, and manage organizational budgets and meet demanding schedules

Demonstrated effective problem and conflict resolution skills including experience with root cause, corrective action and continuous improvement methodologies

Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with customers (internal and external), demonstrating sound situational reasoning and judgment

Ability to use metrics to critically assess organization, measure performance, and take corrective action

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to deliver effective presentations at all levels

Documented Six Sigma greenbelt certification

Experience in successfully leading larger teams of employees through extensive critical inspections and audits

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $180,000 - $309,120. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
