They advise the company on tax planning opportunities and work to ensure the organization remains compliant while maximizing tax savings.ResponsibilitiesDescriptionThe Director of Tax will oversee the companys tax planning compliance reporting and strategy. They work to ensure adherence to tax laws and regulations while optimizing the organizations tax position. The role involves working with external firms and collaborating with other departments to align tax strategies with business objectives.Your day-to-day job will consist of:Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with corporate objectives to minimize tax liability and ensure complianceLiaison with 3rd party firms to ensure timely and accurate filing of all federal state and local income tax returnsLead the companys income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740Provide tax guidance on potential mergers acquisitions divestitures entity formation cross-border initiatives and other major corporate transactionsCollaborate with finance legal and operational teams to ensure tax considerations are properly integrated into business decisionsOversee the preparation of statutory financial statements annual reports and other regulatory filings in accordance with local laws and accounting standardsDrive continuous improvement and standardization of tax processes controls and documentationOwn the global transfer pricing policy and documentation strategyStay current on changes in tax legislation and communicate their impact on the businessQualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field requiredMinimum 7 years of progressive tax experienceExperience in tax accounting corporate tax compliance transfer pricing and M&A tax structuringUnderstanding of international tax laws and cross-border transactionsStrategic thinker with a proactive solutions-oriented approachExcellent analytical communication and leadership skillsPreferred QualificationsMasters degree or CPA strongly preferredStrong preference for a mix of public accounting and in-house corporate tax rolesCompensation & BenefitsPowerSchool offers the following benefits:Comprehensive Insurance Coverage (including Medical Dental Vision Pharmacy benefits Life Insurance and AD&D)Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings AccountsShort-Term Disability and Long-Term DisabilityComprehensive 401(k) planGenerous Parental LeaveUnrestricted paid time off (known as Discretionary Time Off - DTO)Wellness Program including ClassPass & Employee Assistance ProgramTuition ReimbursementOptional Benefits: Pet Insurance Identity Theft Protection Student Debt Repayment Program and Prepaid Legal coverageA reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $161000 - $201300 USD.
