The Disability Officer contributes to innovation by researching and recommending cutting-edge technologies to enhance academic support. Collaboration with colleagues sharing expertise and contributing to operational planning is a core part of elevating service delivery and informing the future of Disability Support Services.This job is a chance to transform lives influence policy and be part of a team thats redefining what inclusive education looks like.To be successful the ideal candidate will have:A solid understanding of Commonwealth and State anti-discrimination legislation and a commitment to access and equity for people underrepresented in higher educationA growth mindset and dedication to staying up to date with industry standards through relevant professional development and trainingExperience assessing and coordinating reasonable adjustments to enable success in higher educationProven ability to confidently engage with staff across the University and external organisations - negotiating influencing and building strong partnerships around disability supportHigh level written and oral communication skills with the ability to tailor content to a wide range of audiencesA collaborative and self-directed approach to work comfortable working in a team or independently.
