We encourage people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background and people with disability to apply.About the roleThis permanent part-time position in Bentleigh involves providing assistance with activities of daily living and contributing to the development implementation and review of Individual Plans.The role supports 2 males and 2 females who have physical behavioural and medical support needs and so the successful candidate will have previous experience supporting people with behaviour support plans manual handling and medical support.Please see below roster. Roster Split is 67:00/54:30Key responsibilities:Follow person-centred support and behaviour plansFacilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activitiesMaintain thorough record keepingBuild positive relationships with clients families and colleaguesAdvocate for client choice and controlSkills & ExperienceExperience with behaviour support plansPrevious experience in manual handlingConfidence and experience in providing personal careA commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs skills abilities and personal goals of people with disabilities.The ability to develop a positive relationship with clients and to support their Individual Personal Plan.Cert IV in Disability or similarA current Senior First Aid (level 2) Certificate.A current unrestricted Driver Licence and willingness to drive a company van.Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and an International Criminal History Record Check; if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia in the last 10 years.BenefitsWork for one of Australias largest social purpose organisationsLife Without Barriers offers ongoing training support and career advancement opportunitiesOngoing roster line with a stable predictable rosterHow to ApplyInclude your resume and covering letter in one document click Apply and follow the prompts.
