And we believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is a vital part of delivering an exceptional employment experience.Find a fulfilling career and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service/Patient CareCollect dirty food service trays from nursing units.Collects and sorts trash and recycle materials from CafeteriaEnsure dishes service ware trays and pots & pans are properly cleaned and sanitized.Sanitizes carts.Maintains proper temperature logs.Maintains proper sanitization logs.Maintains dish machine in proper working order by completing daily and weekly cleaning.Assists in the delivery food trays to patient rooms as neededTechnical & SafetyCorrectly operate department equipment that has been assigned. Clean and restock dishes during hours of operation as assigned.Practices HACCP guidelines for food handling and a sanitary and safe condition. Reports any equipment malfunction to a supervisor. Monitors and records temperatures utilizes safe food handling techniques maintains a clean orderly workstation.Checks out with Management or Team Lead at the end of their shift.Fulfills all other designated tasks pertinent to the success of the NFS departmentQualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or GED required.Experience: No experience will train.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Writes reads comprehends and speaks fluent English. Multicultural sensitivity. Microsoft Office basic computer skills. Customer/patient focused. Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.Other:Machines: Commercial conveyer dish machine tray accumulator high steam pressure washer refrigerators freezers carts and any other pertinent food service equipment.
