As Dispatch I you are responsible for scheduling trips for freight deliveries including scheduling drivers and routes. The role is a central contact point for both truck drivers and customers coordinating the shipping this fast-paced position Dispatchers are responsible for multiple trucks customers drivers and routes which requires attention to detail. They also monitor trucks and drivers once they are on route and they help if an issue arises with a pickup or delivery.RequirementsResponsibilities and Duties:Communicates any schedule delays/changes with drivers and customersDriver/Dispatch teams timesheet approvals and corrections on a weekly basisLiaison and support for all drivers and transportation management teamDriver ELD Compliance of CA FleetDriver DOT Compliance of CA FleetDriver ELD Compliance of CA Fleet CFleet equipment maintenance and complianceUpdating and upkeeping fleet insurance and state licensing requirementsComplete and follow-up on transportation special projectsStreamline and update routes as needed for route optimizationDispatch operational support as neededAnswers any customer inquiries and transportation requests communicates necessary information to driversResolve customer concerns with professional and timely etiquetteEnsures that safety requirements are followed by drivers at all timesAdvanced knowledge of DOT rules and regulationsRoute planning for optimal driver and vehicle utilizationMaintains clear and accurate records and logsEvaluates and adjusts routes based on daily needs available workers traffic hazards and weather conditionsAdministrativeProcess all daily/weekly bondsData storageReview reportsMaintain route schedulesProcess ordersUtilize Cargowise to create workorders/create BOLs when necessaryComplete other duties as assignedAbilities:Attention to detailTake ownership of the assigned task and complete it in a timely mannerIntegrityDemonstrate the ability to interact well with others and follow instructionsFlexibility and ability to adjust to sudden changes in operational goals and needsAbility to read and write comprehend basic checklists forms or other documentsAbility to follow oral and written directionsMust be able to stand walk use hands to handle objects or reach with hands and arms climb ladders kneel crouchMust be able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs. unassisted while using safe lifting techniquesWillingness to work a flexible schedule including overtime to cover escalations if requiredFollow all SLAs and SWIsQualifications & Skills needed:High school diploma or equivalentStrong math & writing skillsCustomer and Quality focusedIntermediate computer skills and SAP experience are a plus.
