Distribution Center Clerk at VSP Vision

With moderate supervision stock and ship frames lenses or other product orders to support operations.Pull frames parts and/or related materials in support of daily invoice orders and new consignment setsShip daily orders utilizing regular mail overnight and ground delivery service according to department standardsSupport operations functions by stocking frames lenses and daily shipping suppliesParticipate in physical inventories of products when assignedAssist in the receiving area by unpacking staging and counting ordersClean and assemble frames lenses and other supplies according to department guidelinesFor Altair and Marchon LOBs: Support return/refurbishing operations by processing removal and credit paperwork which may include opening mail and sorting returns by frame modelSupport consignment program changes and invoice orders by assisting in the preparation of frames for shipment including lab order consolidationCoordinate within the frame refurbishing area to provide added efficiency by preparing frames and components for the refurbishing teamJob SpecificationsTypically has the following skills or abilities:Ability to read and write at a level necessary to accomplish the above tasksApproximately one year of distribution/warehouse experienceAbility to lift 40 poundsAbility to walk or stand 90% of the dayWorking ConditionsThe working environment is generally favorable lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise dust etc.The above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
