You will build a career that you are proud of at a company you can believe in.Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Configuration Analyst in our Upper Marlboro Market Distribution Center. As a Configuration Analyst you will ensure the efficient warehouse management system operation configuration supporting process improvement tactical efforts and critical initiatives by monitoring reviewing and updating the WMS system to improve efficiencyResponsibilities: Coordinate accurate entry and maintenance of all WMS systems dataCoordinate with department managers shift managers and / or senior leadership regarding labor standards and productivity metricsCreate reports to monitor and streamline WMS process efficiency inventory levels and data accuracyConfigure WMS for new items on daily inbound listTrack review and analyzes results after making any WMS changesParticipates in physical and functional configuration auditsIdentify and resolve basic configuration issues to ensure safe and efficient storage of itemsWork with district purchasing team daily on new items to ensure correct UOMs are up to dateWork with operations for any recon item reportsManage the Cycle Count dashboardMaintain Hazmat compliance for each warehouse and report to the environmental managerTravel to other branches within the district to implement velocity changes within the warehouseAdd new users into WMS. This includes new hires as well as sales team membersMaintain customer product file and enter audit/vas task notifications to accommodate for certain customer needs at the loading phaseCreate and print location labels for warehouses in districtExplain system functions to warehouse such as pick rules and put rules. Make changes wherever needed.Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred3 years Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience is recommended2 years of logistics experienceAbility to adapt and change processes to keep pace with the evolving business requirementsOutstanding interpersonal and leadership skills to efficiently respond to urgent situations (this should be under qualifications)Must be process oriented with good judgment and decision-making abilitiesStrong technical skills included but not limited to Microsoft O365 applicationsStrong interpersonal & customer service skills and a team-centric mentalityAbility to be adaptable and multitasking skills needed including the ability to prioritize multiple urgent requestsStrong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate across all levels of the organizationAt Ferguson we care for each other.
