Providing strong direction and leadership this individual will develop employees manage processes and ensure compliance to various standards & metrics while driving continuous improvement projects.Directly leads all employees within the distribution center team ensuring all are properly trained to effectively perform their job responsibilitiesDrives and monitors departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and constantly strives for improvementSustains long term strategic inventory control and warehousing processes to maximize profitability cash flow and customer satisfactionEnsures a high level of inventory accuracyDevelops and maintains strong working relationships and communication with marketing customer service quality assurance production and corporate resourcesDevelops and retains heightened safety awareness and practices to ensure no incidents or lost time accidentsEnsures documentation including all necessary DOT documentation is completed submitted and maintained in an orderly and timely mannerOperates within the parameters of the annual budget responsible to operate and manage cost center P&LSuccessfully passes all regulatory customer and third-part audits/inspectionsMaintain professional and technical knowledge by staying up to date with all work processes and industry-wide developmentsFollows all safety procedures and actively participates in safety training and safety system ownership initiativesMaintains safe and efficient use of equipment tools and person; reports any injury accident or unsafe condition to plant manager immediatelySupports and complies with GMPs; understands and follows emergency action planSupports food safety quality and legalityMaintains a highly sanitized organized and safe working environment ensuring the operation is providing food-safe quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirementsOther duties as assignedQualifications Education and Experience:The minimum requirements below are representative of the education and experience required to perform this job successfully.A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing coaching and developing a collaborative team in a high volume fast paced distribution center with the ability to lead change within the department and processBachelors degree in Supply Chain Operations or related business field preferredQualifications:The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge skills abilities and attributes required to perform this job successfully.Strong decision-making ability with excellent customer focus and demonstrated attention to detail with proven track record for delivering resultsContinuous improvement mindset with success leading a team to meet KPIsAdvanced proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (D365) Planning/ERP Systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX) and Transportation Management Systems (AR Traffic)Intermediate computer skills specifically Microsoft Word Excel PPT with the ability to learn new software and systems with easeRequired Experience:Manager Key Skills AS400,Lean,Management Experience,Maximo,Warehouse Management,Warehouse Experience,Warehouse Distribution Experience,Warehouse Management System,Copywriting,Leadership Experience,Supervising Experience,Logistics Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
