The Woolwich Distribution site is one of two new U.S. distribution hubs opened within the last year to enhance and streamline our delivery operations. But none of it can happen without you the people who power our operations and ensure that our customers receive our life-saving therapies when they need them.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse.Uses computer system for tracking logging verifying and reporting.Follows shipping practices and procedures and transportation routing schedules and requirements.Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment.(un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products raw stock assemblies parts building materials office supplies equipment etc.Verifies quantity weight and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system processes freight bills packing sheets and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.Required Knowledge and Experience:Requires minimum of 8 years of experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.Preferred Qaulifiations:Prior experience in a distribution center or in a warehouse operationMust be able to speak English fluentlyStrong verbal and written communication to convey goals clearlyActive listening and the ability to give constructive feedbackSome experience in delegating tasks to team membersMust have the ability to adjust to changing prioritiesPhysical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
