JOB DESCRIPTION
Documentation Engineer (Project Information Specialist)
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Documentation Engineer (Project Information Specialist) to work on transportation infrastructure projects in Chicago, IL.
Responsible for the care and handling of enterprise-wide company and project documents, which includes electronic records management, distribution, classification, and retention. Project Information Management utilizes the tools and systems necessary to effectively and proactively manage, control, and report on all project and company information throughout the organization.
- Under general direction, applies advanced skills to the position.
- Resolves problems using advanced techniques and procedures.
- Ability to plan, organize, and complete assigned tasks.
- Maintains and organizes engineering documentation on an enterprise content management system which includes identification and generation of reports.
- May be responsible for leading a departmental process as assigned by management.
- May orient, train, assign, and check the work of lower-level employees.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Valid Drivers License Required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six (6) years of experience in construction including three (3) years' experience as an Office Engineer.
- OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 Certificates
- IDOT Documentation Certification for Contract Quantities
- Good writing and communication skills required
- BS degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related discipline or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
