Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Logistics Planner to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.

The selected candidate(s) will work in the Product Support - Logistics & Modernization organization on the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, as well as, E-2C Hawkeye and C-2 Greyhound to provide logistics spares support which includes processing tactical spares requests for quotes for DLA and other customers. Selected applicant may be asked to perform a wide range of logistics support tasks within the organization.

These tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Technical research of various aircraft systems
  • Providing logistics support for various other functions e.g. contracts, global supply chain, pricing, etc.
  • Reporting metric data
  • Reading technical aircraft drawings
  • Maintaining various databases and spreadsheets
  • Inspecting new deliveries and creating required shipment forms
  • Coordinating with DCMA to achieve buy-off of spares deliveries
  • Supporting spares conferences with customers

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations in order to ensure reports are completed in an efficient manner within existing financial constraints and procedures in order to meet customer needs and company objectives. The planner builds relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers through direct communication.

Basic qualifications:

  • 2 years of logistics experience with a bachelors, 0 years with a masters, or 6 years of military logistics experience in lieu of degree
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance
  • Must have intermediate proficiency using MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
  • Must have the ability to write a schedule based on supplier information
  • Must have the ability to review and analyze customer requests to determine if a response can be produced
  • Able to create shipping documents with attention to detail for contractual compliance

Preferred qualifications:

  • Active DoD secret clearance
  • Previous experience in the DD250/WAWF submission process
  • Experience with FAR/DFARS
  • Experience coordinating with DCMA
  • Experience using SAP and content management systems
  • Intermediate experience with SharePoint and MS Project

Primary level salary range: $55,100.00 - $82,700.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in vice president or director positions may be eligible for long term incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
