Domestic Violence Case Manager (Pd Non-Civil Service) at City of San Angelo Texas

We are currently seeking:A Domestic Violence Case Manager to join our team. This is a full-time position for the purpose of working in partnership with the San Angelo Police Department (SAPD) officers and detectives assisting crime victims of family violence and coordinating with community partners. The Domestic Violence Case Manager is responsible for day-to-day intervention services with the victim survivor and family members who have experienced or witnessed domestic violence. The Domestic Violence Case Manager reinforces care for the adult victim child victim if any and other potential witnesses experiencing secondary victimization/trauma. The Domestic Violence Case Manager is part of the Investigative Support Team that conducts assessments makes referrals gathers evidence for the detectives and collaborates with partners and volunteer interns to fulfill the assignment.Your responsibilities will include:1. Crisis intervention & Case Management:Responding On-Scene if necessary and authorizedWork with victims of domestic violence sexual assault stalking harassment human trafficking and abuseDevelop a victim service planNotification & explanation of crime victims rights and the criminal justice processCrisis Response/Support/InterventionAssistance with Crime Victim Compensation application processSafety Planning escape planning and Protective Order AssistanceCommunity Resource ReferralsCourt/Legal/Medical Accompaniment in qualifying casesAssistance with I 918 forms for U-Visa Applications. Assistance with Address Confidentiality Program Applications (Texas Attorney Generals Office) 2. Investigation:Conduct Danger AssessmentsConduct Strangulation/Suffocation InterviewsGather medical reportsBe present for Detective interviews and/or assists with victim interviewsGather other relevant evidence when applicable3. Community Outreach:Attend community group meetingsEducate the community regarding the dynamics of family violence Innovatively targets groups where potential victims may be4. Administrative:Set up victim file with basic information statistical data and service agreementsDocument victim interaction notes in fileCompile Statistics on a monthly basisAdhere to necessary grant requirements for statistical tracking record keepingPrepare and maintain monthly progress reportConduct Victim Surveys for feedback and outcomeKey Responsibility Area: Program Follow-Up Management:Coordinate grant funding complete all required documentation and reports necessaryGrant compliance and policiesParticipate in appropriate staff orientations and trainings Attend and participate in the Interdisciplinary Team ProcessComplete appropriate and timely reports of activities submitted to the Family Violence Liaison as required including those associated with any grant or funding that supports the position.
