General Summary:The Donation Attendant maximizes store profitability providing best in class donor service accurate donation records and effective material handling. Your role helps us to build skills and change lives in each of our communities.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:Use GRATIS in donations; quickly and professionally Greet hand out a pre-signed and dated Receipt Assist by involving the donor and safely handling their donation Thank and Invite donor to donate again then Sort out SLs and leave HL in container to give to a HL stationSupport efficient product flow as a material handler moving donations trash and salvage to keep merchandise flowing to the sales floorAnticipates problems providing necessary assistance and supplies to all members of production teamWorks the process using unit pricing or good/better/best to price product through 1 touch optimizationSafely unload furniture from donor vehicles (2 man lift over 40lbs) price and place directly into storeConsistently interacting with co-workers shoppers and donors in a professional & pleasant mannerMaintain accurate donation counts by handing receipt to every donor recording first receipt and lastUse non-powered (and powered for 18) equipment to safely and effectively moves containersAssist with loading/unloading trailers safely and effectivelyMaintain safe & clean work environment by following established 5S principles and safety guidelinesConsistently perform all duties within the framework of our Core ValuesRequirementsKnowledge Skills & Abilities Required:Good interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to learn safe operation of power equipment if over 18Travel Required: NoRequired education and/or work experience:No experience necessaryDescription of physical working environment:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
