Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:JOB POSTING: Drafting TechnicianJob Details:Legacy Technologies DBA PacAero - Mission is seeking a Drafter to join our team. The Drafting Technician position is to create new prints, maintain old prints, and convert old prints to a new drafting program system. Document Control duties will include maintaining and updating the print books and files. Other duties will follow as the knowledge of the drafting system increases.Key Responsibilities:Creating new prints and 3D models based on customer specificationsMaintaining new, current, and old printsFiling the prints and maintaining an organized systemUpdating and replacing old printsConvert prints from old drafting system to newer programOther miscellaneous duties as assignedRequirements:Qualifications:Operation of various drafting programsHighly motivated and a self-starterDemonstrate strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsMechanical Drafting knowledge is neededHighly proficient in all computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.Strong organizational and time management skillsDecision making, problem solving, and creative thinking skillsSkills to work both independently and as part of a teamDrafting Technology or Drafting and Design Technology Associates Degree is preferredExperience and proven success in a drafting position is not required but is a plusGeometry and Trigonometry education will be needed to calculate surface area, volume fill, as well as anglesTraining with a CAD/modeling program required (AutoCAD and Inventor a plus)
