Turner Specialty Services is looking to hire a Draftsman/IDMS with experience in PCMS and AutoCAD drafting for a full-time position located in the Baton Rouge LA area. This position drafts detailed construction drawings topographical profiles and related maps and specification sheets used in planning and construction. Non-exempt role; Reports to Drafting Supervisor Engineer or AutoCAD Designer; Performs a variety of routine duties within established policies. Essential Qualifications:High school or equivalentMinimum two (2) years of drafting experience or equivalent combinations of experience and trainingExperience in PCMS and AutoCAD draftingExperienced in CAD software to create drawings and/or ability to create drawings manuallyMust possess excellent communication interpersonal organizational and problem solving skillsNo per diem local candidates onlyPost offer drug / alcohol screen physical evaluation and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug Alcohol and Contraband PolicyComply with company and client job site safety requirementsMust not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace Functional Requirements:Plots maps and charts showing profiles and cross-sections indicating relation of topographical contours and elevations to buildings retaining walls tunnels overhead power lines and other structures; drafts detailed drawings of structures employing structural reinforcing steel concrete masonry wood and other structural material; produces plans and details of foundations building frame floor and roof framing and other structural elements; may accompany survey crew in the field to locate grading markers or to collect data required for revision of construction drawings; perform additional assignments per supervisors direction CompensationFinal agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
