About the Role:
As a Drain Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and restoring the functionality of residential and commercial drainage systems across various locations in the United States. Your primary objective will be to diagnose, repair, and prevent drainage issues to ensure efficient water flow and prevent property damage. This position requires hands-on technical expertise to operate specialized equipment and tools for cleaning, inspecting, and repairing drains and sewer lines. You will collaborate closely with customers to assess their drainage problems, provide clear explanations of the work needed, and deliver high-quality service that meets safety and regulatory standards. Ultimately, your work will contribute to the health, safety, and comfort of the communities served by ensuring reliable and effective drainage solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Experience in plumbing, drainage, or a related field with hands-on technical skills.
Ability to operate drain cleaning equipment and diagnostic tools.
Strong understanding of safety protocols and local plumbing codes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in plumbing or drain cleaning technology.
Experience with video inspection systems for sewer and drain lines.
Knowledge of environmental regulations related to wastewater management.
Customer service experience in a technical field.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and emergency call-outs.
Responsibilities:
Inspect and diagnose drainage system issues using cameras, sensors, and other diagnostic tools.
Perform cleaning, unclogging, and repair of drains, pipes, and sewer lines using mechanical and hydro-jetting equipment.
Maintain and operate specialized tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
Communicate effectively with customers to explain problems, recommend solutions, and provide cost estimates.
Document work performed, maintain accurate service records, and comply with all safety and environmental regulations.
