BASIC FUNCTION:Assist the choral director in stage direction set design and other technical aspects the choral department musical.DISTINGUSHING CHARACTERISTICS:Have a vision for the chosen musicalAttend the audition process and share input on it.Craete a rehearsal schedule for the time frame of the performanceHelp to create the design of the stageAttend all rehearsals involving dramatic directionDesign costume scheme for the performersHelp with final construction and decoration of the set.KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: KNOWLEDGE OF:Musical theatre and the direction of itABILITY TO:Run an auditionCreate a rehearsal scheduleGive direction to teenagers and understand their personasBe very flexible with involved student schedulesCommunicate with the choral director and othersCreate a costume schemeDirect vision for lightingEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Any combination equivalent to: high school diploma G.E.D.
