Ready to tackle global challenges that impact business society and the environment Come join us.Help Facilitate Our Clients Duty Recovery EffortsThe opportunity:Flexport is experiencing massive growth with 2500 Flexporters across 20 global offices and warehouses. And were just getting started. With revenue growing at breakneck speed Flexport is looking for a Drawback Associate to join our Drawback and Refund Services branch of our Trade Management this role youll be responsible for optimizing our clients drawback recoveries and facilitating their drawback experience alongside some of the smartest people in the logistics industry as we collectively challenge the status quo and reduce the friction in global trade.You will:Prepare US and foreign duty drawback or other duty and import tax refund forms and data as necessary for establishing and maintaining our clients drawback programsCollect and analyze import export manufacturing and other business documents and dataComplete data entry when necessary to convert data into electronic formalPrepare drawback claims utilizing drawback software solutions analyze results and troubleshoot issuesManage and maintain import export and other client and claim databasesSubmit documentation and claims to Customs and follow up as necessaryWork to ensure compliance with drawback and other regulationsManage the day-to-day drawback operations for clientsAssist your team and the drawback organization with tasks that will allow for timely and effective filings of claims.Assist Senior Associates when onboarding team members with client communication and when working with new clients in order to prepare for future opportunities on the drawback team.You should have:Strong interpersonal skills and detail-oriented with superior organizational multi-tasking and problem-solving skillsExpertise with Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on Excel and Google equivalents analytical tools and functions highly desirableFamiliarity with large sets of dataMastery of email communication. You keep the inbox at zero.High level of computer literacy. No paper. All digital.Some industry knowledge including classification valuation duty minimization and avoidance strategies government regulations and rulings and other trade information preferred.Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university Licensed Customs Broker preferredA compliance first attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.#LI-onsiteThe range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the postings respective region. Our salary ranges are determined by role level and location.
