This opportunity is located within our EnviroLogix business that develops and manufactures testing solutions for detecting GMOs, mycotoxins, plant pathogens, natural toxins and chemical contaminants in multiple agricultural matrices.Job DescriptionPosition SummaryEnviroLogix is seeking a driven, results-oriented and resilient Dry Room Lead with a strong continuous improvement mindset. Dry Room Lead's primary role is to manage key functions of our lateral flow device (LFD) production process including lamination, components manufacturing, LFD pads, LFD comb assembly, LFD strip cutting, vialing & kitting, and/or finished goods packaging and inspection.This dynamic role offers autonomy to lead production in a manner consistent with our Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) metrics while receiving people leadership support and general guidance from the Supervisor, Core Operations.Responsibilities Include:Operational Excellence & Strategic ExecutionCreate production schedules and define and allocate labor needsEnsure the production cells are ready at the start of every shiftLead daily team production huddle including reviewing visual management of prior day's performance and plan for current dayMaintain Visual Boards and present to Ops leadership, dailyEnsure materials are supplied to the production cells to avoid downtime and waitingVerify Production Batch Records are completeIssuing Material and Labor to Jobs in ERP SystemVerify process start-up and quality checks are conductedExecute production schedule and verify production goals for Daily Plan are achievedIdentify production escalations and identify immediate countermeasuresCommunicate effectively cross functionally to solve issues and meet goalsMaintain meticulous documentation of lot and part numbers, inventory and quality assurance records on standard operating procedures (SOP)Coordinate labor assignments to cover for absenteeism and vacationsOperation and cleaning of automated and semi-automated production equipment and printers in assembly areasTrain production team members and Coordiante cross-training, providing thorough documentation/checklists to operatorsVerify routine and preventive maintenance is performed. Troubleshoot initial equipment issues; work with facilities / engineering to resolve as neededVerify standard work is followed and maintain up to date documentation Initiate, review and approve Document Change RequestsFollowing EnviroLogix safety policies and procedures, and for reporting any unsafe or hazardous condition to their supervisor or the Environmental, Health, and Safety department for corrective actionThe expectation of this role is 50% allocation to direct production labor functions with the remainder of the time used for indirect labor responsibilities associated with maximizing SQDC of the team, per descriptions aboveContinuous Improvement & Problem SolvingUpdate standard work processes and documents where outdated and ensure proper change management from both a document and production execution perspectiveDrive problem solving, corrective actions and identification of systemic issues.Evaluate production activities for continuous improvement opportunities. Lead improvement initiatives.Partner with the Ensign Bickford Operating System (EBOS) leader to identify continuous improvement and kaizen opportunities within the dry room production process.Skills Required:Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high SQDC standardsBasic math to document production resultsSelf-motivated, execution oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environmentPositive work ethic and passionate attitudeEmbrace and sustain change for the betterProven ability to work well in team environment with sound negotiation and problem-solving skillsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; especially ExcelAbility to communicate effectively, both written and verbally to collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional teamsExperience with ERP systems is preferredRequirements:2+ years' experience within manufacturing operationsHigh school diploma required.
